I’m a massive fan of beauty boxes & The Latest In Beauty Glamour Edit boxes are always my favourite!!! I think Glamour are collaborating with Latest In Beauty every season to create a box full of beauty products that are definitely a must have for that time of year.
The Glamour Summer Edit box costs £17.99 plus £3.95 p&p. When I bought the Glamour Edit box when it first came out I used a discount code to get free delivery. Unfortunately, the discount code has now expired, but it’s worth keeping a look out online for discount codes to use on Latest In Beauty. The Glamour Summer Edit box is meant to be worth over £90!!!! The Summer Edit box is definitely worth buying if you love trying out beauty products. Check out Latest In Beauty’s Website for more info https://www.latestinbeauty.com/glamour/.
Nails Inc – Gel Effect (sample size)
My favourite product in the box was the Gel Effect Nails Inc nail polish. There are three possible shades that you will receive in your Summer Edit box. I got the colour ‘Uptown’ which is a pinky nude. The only bad thing I have to say about the nail polish is that it chipped after only a day of wearing it. The Gel Effect nail polish is a sample size at 8ml. I thought that the nail polish was a full-size bottle to start with, because of the new shape bottle & the removable cap. The full-size Gel Effect nail polishes have 14ml of nail polish in & cost £15 http://www.very.co.uk/nails-inc-nail-polish-gel-effect-14ml-uptown/1461162164.prd.
Bourjois – Color Boost lip crayon (full size, £7.99)
I haven’t really tried many products from Bourjois, so I was really pleased to get the chance to try out a Color Boost lip crayon. I got the shade ‘Peach on a beach’ which is a really peachy pink colour that gives a tint of colour to the lips. The Color Boost lip crayons are really moisturising on the lips and they are perfect to wear every day. http://www.feelunique.com/p/Bourjois-Colour-Boost-Lip-Crayon-2-75g
Vita Liberata – Luxury Tan (sample size & full-size brush)
The only product I’m not to keen on trying is the Luxury Tan, because I’m so pale it just makes me look a bit muddy/dirty looking. I’m giving this product to my friend as she has a darker complexion to me & this product would be perfect for her. I do love the brush though!!! I am really tempted to keep the brush as it is really soft & feels really luxurious. The Vita Liberata is a bit expensive & costs £35 for the brush & the self-tan bronzing minerals. The Luxury Tan comes in two shades Sunkissed or Bronze http://www.feelunique.com/product/Vita-Liberata-Trystal-Minerals-Self-Tan-Bronzing-Minerals-9g.
L’Occitane – Shampoo & Conditioner (sample size)
I have had a L’Occitanne hand cream in a beauty box before & I really enjoyed using it. In the Summer Edit box, you get a L’Occitane shampoo & conditioner sample. The smell of the shampoo & conditioner is quite different from regular hair care products. I think it smells like Aromatherapy oils which some people might not like. After the first wash, my hair did look really good & it looked cleaner for longer. The shampoo & conditioner are full of natural products & essential oils. The Shampoo & Conditioner comes in lots of different sizes & it’s cheaper to buy refills. A 75ml costs £6.50, 300ml costs £17, 500ml costs £23 & a £500ml refill costs £20 http://uk.loccitane.com/repairing-shampoo-for-dry-damaged-hair,83,1,29803,271573.htm#s=30016. The prices for the conditioner are slightly different a 250ml costs £17, 500ml costs £27.50 & a 500ml refill costs £24.50 http://uk.loccitane.com/repairing-conditioner-for-dry-damaged-hair,83,1,29803,439243.htm#s=30016. I’m very tempted to buy a full-size shampoo & conditioner once I have finished my samples. I thought the L’Occitane shampoo & conditioner made my hair look & feel really healthy.
Pixi – Glow Tonic (sample size)
I have heard a lot of great things about the Pixi glow tonic. The glow tonic claims to “help tone, firm & tighten the skin. It removes dead skin cells for healthier looking skin”. I think I will probably end up buying the full-size bottle once I have finished using the sample. A full-size bottle costs £18 http://www.pixibeauty.co.uk/glow-tonic.
Caudalie – Divine Oil (sample size)
Other than nail polish hair oil is one of my favourite products to get in a beauty box. Caudalie oil is brilliant, because you don’t just have to use it on your hair. You can use the oil on your skin, nails, in the bath or as a massage oil. The Divine Oil has a fantastic blend of oils in the formula including grape, hibiscus, sesame & argan oil. The Caudalie oil is really moisturising & nourishing on your skin. Caudalie Divine Oil costs £17.50 for a 50ml or £27 for a 100ml bottle http://uk.caudalie.com/divine-oil.html.
Balance Me – Body Polish (sample size)
I have tried quite a few products from Balance Me. I love Balance Me, because the products are not tested on Animals. Balance Me do not use Parabens, Sulphates, Artificial fragrances or colours. Balance Me is a great brand to buy skin-care products from. In The Glamour Summer Edit box, I got Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish which is a exfoliator, toner & moisturiser. I haven’t used the product before, so I’m looking forward to trying out the Body Polish. A full-size Body Polish costs £18 https://www.balanceme.co.uk/body/product-family/super-toning/super-toning-body-polish-150ml.
Seekers of The Sun – Temporary Tattoos (LIB Exclusive)
Recently I have got loads of temporary tattoos in subscription boxes. When I was younger I used to love temporary tattoos & I always had them on. I think the last time I used a temporary tattoo was when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I love how temporary tattoos have become really popular again & I’m really excited to start using the temporary tattoos in the Summer. The Seekers of The Sun temporary tattoos are exclusive to Latest In Beauty. Alessandra Steinherr collaborated with Seekers of The Sun to create these One-off designs that you can only get in The Glamour Summer Edit box.
Eucerin – Sun protection (sample size)
There were four variations from the brand Eucerin that you could have received in your Glamour Summer Edit box. I got the SPF50+ sun fluid. The sun fluid looks really good & it’s alright for people to use who have sensitive skin which is a bonus. Last summer I used Dermalogica protection sport SPF50 sun block which was brilliant!!! http://www.selfridges.com/en/dermalogica-protection-sport-spf-50-sunscreen-156ml_462-3001962-110905/ The only thing I didn’t like about the Dermalogica sun block was the price which is £30!!! I wonder If the Eucerin sun block will be any better than Dermalogica. Eucerin sun fluid is a lot cheaper than Dermalogica & they both have the same SPF. If I like the Eucerin better I think I will be buying a full-size Eurcerin sun fluid. Eucerin sun fluid normally costs £16 at Boots & Is currently on offer for £12 http://www.boots.com/en/Eucerin-Sun-Face-Fluid-SPF-50-50ml_1450932/. Do you use Eurcerin sun fluid??? Is it a good sun protectant???
One of my favourite things I got in my Summer Edit box was a card full of discount codes! Some of the offers include £5 off, 20% off, 25% off, 50% off & even a free full-size conditioner. When I buy anything online I always look for discount codes first. Using discount codes is a great way to save money.
What did you think about the Glamour Summer Edit box??? Have you bought it yet??? Are you thinking about buying the LIB box??? What was your favourite product in the box??? Leave me a comment & tell me what your thoughts are about the Summer Edit box.
