Birchbox – March 2015

This month Birchbox collaborated with Habitat. The Habitat box design is so pretty!!! The box looks like a water colour painting. The March Birchbox was also the first month that you could opt in for the new slimline Birchbox. The slimline Birchbox fits perfectly through your letterbox. I think you can switch back to the normal size Birchbox when ever you want. I was really impressed with the new slimline box design. I was out when my box got delivered & when I got home my Birchbox was on my door mat. Which was a lot better than having to reschedule delivery or my box getting delivered to one of my neighbours houses or the delivery company hiding my box behind a flower pot or putting it in my rubbish bin outside my house!!! Did you opt for the slimline box???

If you didn’t know already Birchbox is a monthly subscription service. Each month you get a box filled with samples & full size products for £10 plus £2.95 p&p. You can cancel your subscription at anytime. If you sign up using my link we both get £5 to spend in the Birchbox e-shop. Here is my unique link https://www.birchbox.co.uk/invite/fjb3g.

One of my favourite products I got in this months Birchbox was a full size RMK powder blusher. I had the biggest smile on my face when I saw I had a full size RMK blusher in my Birchbox. I have never tried RMK products before. I have heard a lot of great things about the brand. I love how much detail RMK put into their products. The packaging is gorgeous & the powder compact feels like its really well made. RMK is a Japanese make-up artist cosmetics line.

I got the colour ‘Ingenious Jelly Cheeks’ Which is a gorgeous pale pink which has a hint of shimmer in. The RMK Blusher is officially my new favourite blusher. You can buy the Blushes from the Birchbox e-shop for £15.60 but its worth £26!!! You can tell why I was so happy to get the powder blusher in my Birchbox https://www.birchbox.co.uk/shop/rmk-ingenious-jelly-cheeks-je-01. You can also buy RMK products from Selfridges http://www.selfridges.com/en/rmk/.

Benefit is one of my favourite make-up brands. I LOVE seeing Benefit make-up in beauty boxes. I received a sample size Bad Gal mascara in my Birchbox. I have tried Bad Gal mascara before & I adore it. Since starting beauty box subscriptions I have never had to buy mascara, because I always get Benefit sample size mascaras in my beauty boxes. Bad Gal is an intense black mascara which isn’t waterproof, but it has brilliant staying power. You can buy Bad Gal mascara from the Birchbox e-shop for £17.50 https://www.birchbox.co.uk/shop/benefit-badgal-lash-mascara-black. Check out Benefit’s website for some Amazing make-up & beauty products https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk.

I have received so many Philip Kingsley haircare products in beauty boxes over the last few years. I love how Birchbox are always putting Philip Kingsley haircare products in my Birchbox each month. This month I received a straight hair treatment. You apply the product onto damp hair & comb it through your hair. The product stops your hair from getting frizzy which is great. I think the product has a heat protectant in it, so once your hair is dry enough you can use your straighteners on your hair without adding extra product onto your hair. You can buy Philip Kingsley Straight hair from the Birchbox e-shop for £19 https://www.birchbox.co.uk/shop/philip-kingsley-straight-hair. Check out Philip Kingsley’s website for more amazing haircare products http://www.philipkingsley.co.uk.

The only product I won’t be able to use this month is Tan Organic self tanning oil. I am incredibly pale & fake tan just wouldn’t look right on me, so I have given this product to my mum who has a darker skin tone. This product is perfect for her & I’m sure she will get a lot of use out of it. You can buy the self tanning oil from the Birchbox e-shop for £24.99 https://www.birchbox.co.uk/shop/tanorganic-self-tanning-oil.

The last product in this months Birchbox was a chapter sampler of ‘A Perfect Heritage’ by the UK’s best selling author Penny Vincenzi. I’m not really a fan of fiction books. I love reading beauty books & Autobiographies. You can buy the book from the Birchbox e-shop for £7.99 https://www.birchbox.co.uk/shop/a-perfect-heritage-by-penny-vincenzi.

The lifestyle extra this month was a little Birchbox/Habitat notebook. I have put the notebook in my handbag, because I know it will come in handy when I’m out & about & need to remember things. I will be able to quickly Jot things down in this cute little notebook.

What did you think of this months Birchbox??? Did you opt for the new slimline box??? What was your favourite product in the box this month??? Leave me a comment & let me know what your thoughts were on this months Birchbox.
