Birchbox – December 2014

I’m a little bit late on posting my December Birchbox review. Christmas was chaos, so I hope you don’t mind that I’m posting my December Birchbox review just before January’s Birchbox dispatches.

Just incase you didn’t know Birchbox is a monthly subscription service. You get samples & full size products in your Birchbox each month for £10 plus £2.95 p&p & you can cancel anytime. If you sign up using my link we will both get £5 worth of Birchbox points to spend in the Birchbox e-shop. Here is my link http://birchbox.co.uk/?raf=9790

December’s Birchbox was one of my favourite boxes of 2014!!! In December Birchbox teamed up with Sophia Webster. If you didn’t know Sophia Webster is a shoe designer. Check out Sophia’s website www.sophiawebster.com. The December box design was AMAZING!!! I loved the gem pattern on the box lid & the electric blue box. I will definitely be reusing the December Birchbox to store some of my make-up in.

My favourite product in December’s Birchbox was Models Own nail polish. A few weeks before the December Birchbox dispatched we got to choose from a few colours from the Velvet Goth collection. I picked the colour ‘Absinthe’ which is a green glitter. I was really impressed when my Birchbox arrived because I got the colour I asked for & it was a full size bottle of Models Own nail polish. I love when Birchbox let you choose a colour of a product that you would like to get in your box.

I painted my nails straight after I opened my Birchbox & I had the colour ‘Absinthe’ on my nails all Christmas. ‘Absinthe’ was a perfect colour for Christmas!!! Models Own nail polishes cost £5 & you can buy colours from the Velvet Goth collection on the Birchbox e-shop https://birchbox.co.uk/shop/models-own-velvet-goth. Check out the Models Own website for more nail polishes, make-up & brushes http://www.modelsownit.com.

In the December Birchbox everyone got an exclusive Benefit Christmas cracker. I love the mini sample of High beam that I got inside the Christmas cracker. I had never tried high beam before, so I’m glad I got a mini sample in my Benefit Christmas cracker. I’m currently saving up my Birchbox points so I can get a full size High beam. High beam is a highlighter & its perfect for using on your brow bone & cheekbones. A full size High beam costs £19.40 & you can buy it in the Birchbox e-shop https://birchbox.co.uk/benefit-high-beam. Check out Benefit’s website for more amazing products  https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk.

I was really excited when I saw I had an Eyeko FAT eye stick in the colour ‘Smoke’. You can buy a pack of 3 Fat eye sticks in the colours ‘Smoke’, ‘Gilt’ & ‘Satin’ from the Birchbox e-shop for £16. ‘Smoke’ is a charcoal shade & is a great colour to use to create a smokey eye look I have been using the FAT eye stick as an eyeliner. I have been using a eyeliner brush to apply the Fat eye stick. Check out Eyeko’s website for more eye products http://www.eyeko.com.

I have never heard of the brand Electric. Electric is a brand of haircare products & Electric is a group of salons around the UK. Check out Electric’s website for more details about Salons & haircare products http://www.electric-hair.com. I really enjoyed using the Electric shampoo. I thought the shampoo made my hair look really shinny & it felt moisturised. Electric shampoo costs £17.50 & you can buy the shampoo from the Birchbox e-shop https://birchbox.co.uk/electric-hair-electric-hydrate-shampoo.

Trilogy is another new brand that I haven’t tried. ‘Magic for skin’ is a face & body oil. Massaging 2 drops to your face & body leaves your skin looking healthy & radiant. You can buy ‘Magic for skin’ on the Birchbox e-shop for £16.50 https://birchbox.co.uk/trilogy-certified-organic-rosehip-oil. Check out Trilogy’s website for loads of skincare products http://www.naturisimo.com/index.cfm?nme=Trilogy%20Skincare&gclid=Cj0KEQiAiamlBRCgj83PiYm6–gBEiQArnojD9_x84cbCrlvjWWDQNw-h_wZuY2lo1U2_wwXBR-PPfwaAqCQ8P8HAQ. Use the coupon code TREAT at the checkout for 10% off your first order.

This month I discovered quite a few new brands. ILCSI was another different brand I have discovered this month. ILCSI is a face mask. I don’t use face masks, so I gave this product to my mum. My mum loved the face mask. Check out ILCSI’s website for more products http://www.ilcsi.com/home/. On the Birchbox e-shop they have quite a few different face masks ranging in price from £39.95-£43.95 https://birchbox.co.uk/ilcsi-rosehip-and-maize-exfoliating-mask.

The lifestyle extra in the December Birchbox was a little purse. I love the pattern of the Sophia Webster Birchbox purse. I’m using the purse to store my bobby pins in. If you missed out on the December Birchbox you can buy the purse from the Birchbox e-shop for £10 https://birchbox.co.uk/sophia-webster-purse.
